LU TP 94-12 July 1994 Matrix-Element Corrections to Parton Shower Simulation of Deep Inelastic Scattering Michael H. Seymour We discuss the need to supplement angular-ordered parton showers with a hard matrix element correction, to obtain a complete description of final states in deep inelastic scattering. This has recently been implemented in the HERWIG Monte Carlo event generator, and we show the results.
